Here's my new interview with Tony Banks! https://thestrangebrew.co.uk/articles/tony-banks/
Tony Banks opens the Banks Vaults - The Strange Brew

"In Conversation With Tony Banks"

Ecco cosa è stato finora pubblicato:

When Did You Decide To Make A Solo Record?

Demonstrating The Polymoog Effect Used On 'From The Undertow'

How Did You Find The Remixing Process?

Demonstrating The Use Of The ARP Quadra & Vocoder 'Is This Love'

rkive wrote:Demonstrating The Polymoog Effect Used On 'From The Undertow'

rkive wrote:How Did You Find The Remixing Process?

rkive wrote:Demonstrating The Use Of The ARP Quadra & Vocoder 'Is This Love'

In Conversation With Tony Banks | When Did You Decide To Make A Solo Record?

https://youtu.be/Avza4R9dhVM

The hiatus off to Peter Gabriel left I kind of had a few songs around and I sold this possibility at that point to make asylum but as it was the genesis project kept going on so those tracks that might have been on a supplement is up on the next to some trick of the tail and you know Steve Hackett made a subtle around and so those kind of always in the back of a mind to want to do it at some point this is a fun thing to do what was different people in different things. And but it wasn't until filled with a sign on the high seas when Phil Collins was looked like he might be leaving the band or not we want to move of time to think about his life and so both morals is not a side of the apple we could make sort of obstacle to fill the gap. And you know it was it was it was great fun to do.

In Conversation With Tony Banks | On 'Soundtracks' And Working With Toyah, Jim Diamond...

https://youtu.be/nBtORAFM6Vs

On the phone with us for much of his was was what was the shot (il film è The Shout) which was quite quite well I think although we would have we went terribly half is with the music was used in the film but the film was I was very economical analysts to I always thought you know what I read lent itself to to films and I was also so that the which we've my talk about later but the wicked lady office was the Michael winner also me to do that and. And that was fun working with an orchestra. The trouble is what we found I found associate on of these films were very successful so not nothing gonna lead to another one and I did say that the 2 films I did which on some tracks one which glow criminals and the other was good was a quicksilver another the films were it was was successful so I had this material that it cannot come out anywhere else a lot of the actual basic stuff I did at home. We did 3 is those 3 songs on this route which was...

On the film with us for much of was was was involves The Shout which was quite quite well I think although we were and we went to wrap his with the music was used in the film but the film was I was very content was quite nice too I always thought you know what I wrote lent itself to to films and I was all sources. Which we might talk about later but The Wicked Lady office was that of Michael Winner also me to do that and. And that was fun working with an orchestra. The trouble is what we found I found the service in all of these films were very successful so not nothing gonna lead to another one and I did say that the 2 films I did which on some tracks meanwhile which glow criminals. And the other was good was a quicksilver another the films were it was was successful so I had this material lifted cannot come out anywhere else a lot of the actual basic stuff I did at home. We did 3 is those 3 songs on this route which was which would on main source it was more qualified.

Fatto 30...facciamo 31!

Tony fa molti anacoluti e usa intercalari come y'know e kind of/kinda che rendono la trascrizione più difficile. [;)]

When Did You Decide To Make A Solo Record?

Y’know, when Genesis had a sort of hiatus after Peter Gabriel left, I kind of had a few songs around and I thought at that point ‘there’s a possibility of making a solo album’. But, as it was, the Genesis project kept going and so those tracks of mine that might be on a solo album ended up on a Genesis album, A Trick Of The Tail.
And Steve Hackett made a solo album around then, so it was kinda always in the back of my mind to want to do it at some point, ‘cos it’s a fun thing to do: working with different people and doing different things.
But it wasn’t until Phil… we had sort of another hiatus when Phil was… looked like he might be leaving the band or not, we want(ed) to give him more time to think about his life, so Mike Rutherford and I decided at that point we could make solo albums to kinda fill the gap… and, y’know, it was great fun to do, really.

Complimenti!

https://thestrangebrew.co.uk/articles/tony-banks/

"Well, yes, that’s a little unfair on the others. There were three or four tracks that I wrote pretty much on my own and then the others I contributed to – sometimes significant bits. Obviously Steve (Hackett) had just done his solo album so he was very dry of ideas".
