Il trio ha chiesto al Presidente messicano Felipe Calderon più determinazione nel contrastare l'eccidio delle donne della città di Juarez.
"I think justice is probably more important than impunity but its
always a balance actually, with truth and reconciliation process and truth and justice process of trying to get to what actually happened but I do think justice needs to be seen to be done for people to have any real trust in the system."
Così ha esordito Peter al suo ingresso in Messico (ndr: a Manu Chao per dire cose del genere gli è stato negato di suonare in Messico, e questo è accaduto ieri a Guadalajara http://www.manuchao.net).
Peter ha inoltre difeso Manu Chao perchè "egli ha tutto il diritto di pronunciarsi per la violenta repressione fatta dalle forze dell'ordine messicane nel 2006 contro una manifestazione di studenti"

Bisogna ricordare a Peter che l'articolo 33 della Costituzione messicana recita così: "Los extranjeros no podrán de ninguna manera inmiscuirse en los asuntos políticos del país y que el gobierno tiene la facultad exclusiva de hacer abandonar el territorio nacional"
"We would love to make sure that no more young women suffer from
the same fate. And that all those families that are still suffering enormous pain have a chance to find out the truth of what happened to their kids, to their family members and to get some sort of justice and reparation."
La petizione presentata al Presidente Calderon ha raggiunto quota 3000 firme.
Peter ha detto al presidente messicano:
"We came to bring a message from thousands of people around the globe. The world has not forgotten the hundreds of women who were brutally murdered in Juarez and Chihuahua in the past sixteen years The families have waited long enough for answers."
